We think this 128GB USB flash drive on ebay is fake

We are certain this flash drive listed for sale on ebay by mally-online will prove to be a fake that corrupts users’ files. We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.
Report in to SOSFakeFlash if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
Seller has a total of 4 of these, starting price £20 with a BIN of £60 last item is 290367773540.
The first one (290366482926) just sold at £40..
Another unwise bargain hunter driven by price alone that did no research into the real costs.

Was he PUSHED or did he FALL? mally-online seems to have closed his 3 unsold listings, I wonder if he will refund the one SOLD one? I guess he took advice from the member that advised him to check with h2testw and visit sosfakeflash for info…
I hope these 4 suspected fakes !Quote! “I recently came back from CHINA, I brought (I corrected the spelling) several of these memory sticks for my son…..”
Well I hope we have saved the day for this seller, both in respect of his eBay reputation, and his family relationship..

Feedback from the buyer of the first drive indicates he never received the fake drive, but was successful in getting a refund. So I guess the seller did the honest thing and didn’t send the fake. What concerns me is there are now FOUR fake items in his possession, will he be tempted to dispose of them in other ways? I could suggest encasing them in clear epoxy and burying them in a time capsule, so they may be discovered and laughed over milleniums from now. Definitely a lesson learned that buying from wholesalers in CHINA is not a good move…
