Ebay seller samcat_123 listing fake 240GB USB flash drive

leave a comment »

Ebay seller samcat_123 has not removed listings for 240GB USB flash drives. This seller is also selling fake 64GB drives. The seller acted quickly when warned that there was no such thing as a240GB USB flash drive. However the action was not to remove the listings! No, instead samcat_123 took the precaution of changing the picture from the obvious fake 64GB Sony Microv Vault packaging to a fuzzy picture without the packaging. We think this indicates there is little doubt that this seller is deliberately commiting fraud. If you bought one get the seller’s contact details, then report the seller to the police when your item arrives.

Ebay seller matkru007 lists Kingston datatraveler usb flash drive 240GB

UK based ebay seller matkru007 (a member since 18-Oct-08) has not stopped listings for a 240GB Kingston drive despite being told that they are fake, that buyers would lose their files and that selling these is in fact a criminal offence. This seller bought his fakes on – a site that many who found themselves with fakes bought from. If you discovered you were committing a criminal offence in full view of the world would you continue to do so?  This seller is doing just that. Does matkru007 that selling these could result in a criminal conviction and a prison sentence?

Can we make this crystal clear: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 240GB USB FLASH DRIVE!!! Such a thing is simply not technically possible yet. If you see one advertised anywhere we can say with absolute certainty that it is a fake.

Ebay seller ren-ren-buy (ID registered on 23-Feb-09 in Hong Kong) claims to be the SOLE ebay seller selling Real 32GB Capacity memory stick . We beg to differ. The model shown is not made in capacities over 16GB – ren-ren-buy  is selling fake/counterfeit drives.

More fake Sony Micro Vault flash Drives listed by UK ebayers.

leave a comment »

Despite being warned that their items are fake a number of sellers in the UK  failed to remove listings of  fake USB flash drives showing the Sony name and/or  the Sony trademark name Micro Vault.  Sellers who ignored warnings and continued selling include james_escort, ikhan1985,  nixilixi and xlornajcx. If you bought from these sellers (or anyone else who sold a similiar drive)  you should test the drive with h2testw to discover it’s real capacity. Claim a refund through paypal and report the seller to Ebay. People who sell such drives are commiting a criminal offence.  If you see drives like the ones in the pictures below listed on eBay you can be certain they are fake! Note that fake items showning a brand name are counterfeit and their sale is a serious criminal offence.
