Are these 16GB flash drives listed by an ebayer in Germany fake?

liebhaber22 German ebayer leibhaber22 is selling a very suspect looking 16GB flash drive on ebay Germany. Two things make us suspect that this is a fake – the packaging (commonly used by Chinese fraudsters) and the “size” being on a sticker – also common on fake flash drives. We don’t think the seller is aware that these are likely to be fake. It is very likely they were purchased from a fraudulent Chinese wholesaler in all innocence.

Perhaps someone in Germany could get in touch with the seller and suggest testing them with h2testw – looking at the properties only tells you what the fraudsters want you to see – the capacity they programmed the drive to. If you bought one you should test it immediately with h2testw – you are at grave risk of losing your files!

Report in to sosfakeflash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.
