We consider it very interesting that two sellers in Walnut, California, United States listed 128GB Kingston Datatraveler at the same buy it now price within 24 hours of each other. Is there something special about Walnut that allows people there access to things not available to the rest of us? Somehow we don’t think so.

The datatraveler 200 USB flash drive was only announced on 15th June. You cannot buy a genuine 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 drive for the price advertised by this seller, let alone re-sell it for a profit at this price! These are special order items not available in wholesale quantities – at present they are made to order and there is a huge waiting list.

If you engage your brain you can easily draw your own conclusions about whether buyers will get a genuine drive from multiwavevideo or not! If you made the mistake of buying a flash drive from this seller you can check with Kingston – they will no doubt have records of every 128GB DataTraveler sold to date along with serial numbers etc.

In general terms, as ever, we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory (whether USB flash drive, memory card or MP player) with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.
