A new varient on a familiar fake flash drive?

leave a comment »

We wonder if this is a new varient on one of the most common drives to get the frankenflash treatment (re-programming of a small capacity drive to make it seem to be higher capacity) – we have a feeling that this yellow model offered by Hong Kong based seller blueberry_yang2008 will (like the more familiar brown and black models) turn out to be fake capacity. Using fake capacity drives leads to data loss – if you bought this item (or any other flash memory from this seller) do not trust it with important files.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.
