We don’t think this is a Genuine 64GB Kingston flash drive

marcsticker We don’t think this flash drive sold by ebay member marc.86 can possibly be genuine as it was sold at a fraction of the price for a real one. Even the buy it now price of £40 is below what we think you could break even at selling genuine Kingston drives of this type.

The seller helpfully provides a photo of the back of the pack. We enhanced the image of the serial number sticker and rotated it so that the numbers could be read – see picture on the left. We think this seller went shopping in fakeflashland and came back with counterfeits which will have a tiny capacity and cause file loss and data corruption. Anyone who bought one of these should check the serial number with Kingston.

  2. An ebay member checked the serial number in the photo with Kingston and they said it was probably counterfeit as the serial number was already registered by a customer.

  3. This seller has received negative for selling a definite fake. The seller is also refusing to refund. Anyone who has bought from this seller should demand their money back immediately through ebay and paypal.
