32GB Kingston DataTraveler on ebay seems too cheap to be genuine

We can’t see how jojodavison could possibly be selling be selling genuine 32GB DataTraveler 100 flash drives at this price. We strongly suspect that these were purchased from one of the many fraudulent wholesalers in China who sell counterfeits. Counterfeit also means fake capacity and data loss. Buyers should check the serial number with Kingston.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers (both sellers and buyers) to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw or, in the case high capacity items from well – known brands, check the serial numbers with the manufacturer.

  1. Looking over this seller’s recent listings, I would tend to agree the drives are all suspiciously cheap.

The 32gb DT150’s and 32gb SanDisk Ultra Backup drives are being offered at buy it now prices of half of what you would expect to pay from any reputable supplier.

Add to this that the seller is using private listings to cover up what has been sold and for how much, and it looks increasingly suspicious.

Private listings are used by fraudsters to cover up their fraudulent activity on ebay.

Do not trust any seller who is using private listings for items such as these.

If a seller has been selling a genuine product at a bargain price, would they really want to hide it from you?

If you have bought a drive from this seller, please test and send in your results to the email address given at http://sosfakeflash.wordpress.com/report-a-fake/ Your input is welcomed and valued by the team here at fightflashfraud. The more evidence gathered on these sellers, the better. This is your chance to help fight against the injustice we all suffer as a result of this ongoing fraud.
