asiaestore

A member of the fightflashfraud team noticed this listing and wondered if this is yet another counterfeit and fake capacity item coming out of Hong Kong. We had a look at this seller’s feedback and a particular comment left by a buyer on July 27th 2009 caught our attenion:

This seems a bit suspicious – Corsair, like Kingston, Transcend and other well known brands have good quality control procedures in place. We consider it unlikely that (if the drive commented about was a genuine Corsair) the buyer would have encountered transfer speed problems.

We have a feeling that asiaestore may be one of the many ebayers registered in this region who sell counterfeit and fake capacity flash memory. As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.
