We don’t think Kingston make a flash drive that looks like this
UK based ebay seller offers a number of models of Kingston flash drives on ebay at prices we think are too low to be profitable. The model shown above cannot be found on the Kingston web site so we don’t think it is made by Kingston. This makes us wonder if esave2day has bought the drives on sale from a dodgy supplier.
As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.
Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.
UPDATE 07 August 2009
A member of the team has discovered that Kingston did used to make this model but it is discontinued – we still suspect it will be fake capacity but may be a reprogrammed model of lower capacity. It is probably old stock from a fraudulent wholesaler. Other listings from this seller also look suspect to us.
Had a one like this and it was full capacity 8gb.

The model seen in the picture above was manafactured by Kingston. It is the DT110 model and was available in 1gb, 2gb and 8gb capacities. Kingston no longer shows it on the website in the current line up, but I did find a link to the model shown through an old web advert. This is the United States version and shows other drives I have not seen before in the Kingston range.
