The flash drive shown here is a very familiar fake. Not only is it counterfeit (Not made by Sony) it is also fake capacity (can store an awful lot less than 64GB) – the net result is that after a while anyone using one of these will suffer data loss and corruption. In other words pretty much anything “saved” to this drive will be destroyed after a while – no doubt (in many cases) long after the buyers have left the seller positive feedback and are too late to claim a refund.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

Please sellers – do your research before you buy flash memory items to re-sell on ebay. For brand names contact the company and ask about authorised suppliers. For unbranded goods always pay with a credit card and test a high percentage of the drives (at least 25%) immediately they arrive. It is your responsibility as a seller to ensure your items are fit for purpose – which these are not!!
