We think the Kingston DT150 drives sold by emil_hasanov are counterfeit. Buyers should check the serial number with Kingston. As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

UPDATE – This seller’s listings (and those of a number of others we had planned to post about) have been removed by ebay. No doubt due to pressure from Kingston as a result of a member of our team reporting the sales to Kingston – saves us the trouble of writing a post for each and every one – we just need to post individually about those who are still getting away with fraud!

If you bought a Kingston DataTraveler from any of the following sellers you will no doubt find the item has vanished from your won list:
ultimate_memory, e-choices, n_kashafi, dreamonlineshop, morgen-discount-store, isuper_sales, dtech8, virtuallydiscover1823, flashmaster38, crawlerzonline – no doubt there are others to follow.

Get your paypal refund claim in quickly! Although item details will probably have vanished from ebay you will still see them in your paypal account if you have already paid for the drive.

  2. I just got a message from ebay stating that dtech8 is no longer a registered user.

I contacted this seller advising them to test their drives. My advice was ignored.
