Fighting flash fraud on Ebay

Are these 16GB MP3/MP4 players on ebay genuine?

These MP3/MP4 players sold by UK seller tinfish53 seem a bit on the cheap side to us which makes us wonder if they came from one of the many fraudulent wholesalers in the orient who sell fake capacity items. Many UK ebayers have bought flash drives, memory cards and MP players to sell on ebay from such suppliers without being aware they were fakes. We hope tinfish53 took the precaution of testing flash memory items with h2tesw before offering them for sale on ebay. If not then this seller is at risk of landing in the brown sticky stuff with negative feedback and the possibility of suspension by ebay.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

  1. Looking over present listings from this seller and all the previous items sold, I would say nearly every item will be fake capacity.

The seller is presently listing the fraudsters favourite in fake capacity of 32gb amongst others.

I would strongly advise anyone who has bought any flash memory item from this seller to test immediately with h2testw.

If you are a prospective customer, leave now and get off ebay altogether for any flash memory based item.

Shop with reputable online sellers or locally if possible.
