Who has used 64GB flash drives they don’t need anymore? UK ebay seller atomicrooster44 apparently. This ebayer is currently listing the one above and has already sold the one shown below. These are fake – not made by Sony and not 64GB.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

  1. I think we are all agreed that this seems to be deliberate fraud. All of us here have at least one fake flash drive – many of us have a little heap of them. We are not easily fooled by weasel words!

  2. This seller was clearly informed these drives were fake capacity counterfeits by an ebay member on two seperate occasions, as the drives were freshly listed. Advice was given on testing with h2testw, looking for reviews on internet for this drive, checking Sony website, checking reputable online sellers, articles at fight flash fraud on fake Sonys, etc.

The seller has decided to ignore the good advice each time and carry on with the auctions.

Each time the seller claims they are only selling these fakes due to them being slower than their 8gb drive.
I wonder how many times the seller is going to use the same story?

How logical would it be to buy one 64gb drive, try it, find it to be too slow, go back to your original 8gb drive, buy another identical 64gb drive, try it, find it to be too slow and eventually decide just to settle with the 8gb drive you had all along.

I believe this seller knows exactly what they are selling.
