UK ebay member sold Counterfeit and fake capacity Kingston

with 3 comments

UK ebay member sandydxxx sold 10 of these counterfeit and fake capacity 64Gb DataTraveler flash drives. No one can sell a genuine 64GB flash drive at this price.

We suspect that this seller has been lured into a dropshipping operation in which items are sent directly by the fraudulent supplier and the seller who lists them for sale never actually claps eyes on them.

Dropshipping is very dangerous when it comes to flash memory – the seller has no opportunity to check whether the merchandise is genuine or not. In this case we can advise sandydxxx that these are certainly not genuine.

The seller should contact all buyers and explain that these are unlikely to be genuine and refund them all. The seller is welcome to direct buyers to this post so that they understand why. If the seller does not do so then it is likely that sandydxxx will end up in the brown sticky stuff!

  1. Hi folks,

I warned sandydxxx that these were counterfeit and told the seller about this site. Got a thank you message from the seller. Seems (though most pay no attention) that it is sometimes worthwile to warn sellers – there are still a few honest folk out there!

  2. Glad to hear you are an honourable seller – sorry to hear that you have been landed with these fakes – we were hoping that you could rid yourself of the problem without having to pay the supplier and receive the goods first. Sadly it seems that it can be very difficult to get refunds from fraudulent wholesalers – you need to act very quickly to stand a chance. We wish you luck – let us know how you get on.

  3. These are no longer being listed, and all buyers will be contacted to let them know they will be receiving a full refund!!! they have already been purchased by myself, were received yesterday, and are NOT 64gb flash drives but much less. Next time i’ll do a bit of research before diving in head first!
