UK seller lists suspect 64GB DataTraveler 150 flash drives on ebay

with one comment

The 64GB Kingston DataTraveler flash drives listed by UK seller flashuk are fairly certain to be counterfeit and fake capacity. We suspect that these came from one of the dodgy wholesalers supplying counterfeit goods to the unwary.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have purchased a false capacity device on ebay.

  1. These drives are definitely counterfeits.

Kingston has made ebay remove them for that very reason.
