Seller fierro222 (registered in Australia) is quite correct to view the capacity of the flash drive in this listing as unbelivable. We wholeheartedly agree! There is no such thing as a 120GB USB flash drive. Hard Drive yes, flash drive no. There is such a thing as a 128GB flash drive but USB flash drives are never made in 120GB capacity.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have purchased a false capacity device on ebay.

  1. After being contacted by a well meaning ebay member and informed of this article and the problem of hacked counterfeit drives, the seller has removed the items listed from auction immediately.

The seller was unaware of hacking and could not understand how a drive could read 120gb in properties but not be 120gb. Many of us learned the hard way!

This seller has taken the appropriate action and done the right thing by immediately removing the counterfeit fake capacity drives.

If you do see articles here and think the seller may not be aware, feel free to contact them and let them know. Sometimes a little nudge in the right direction can help. The more sellers are aware, the less victims in their wake. It may also save the seller from being a victim too.
