Seller in Canada lists fake flash memory items on ebay

leave a comment »

Seller durotan.76 has obviously been shopping in fake flash land.

As well as the fake capacity flash drive in the listing above the seller has listings for two other models of fake flash drive that are very familiar to the frankenflash project. The seller also has memory cards for sale. If the memory cards are from the same supplier they will probably be fake capacity too.

The seller may be unaware that the supplier is fraudulent. We advise this seller to remove listings immediately and test the flash memory items – we know the flash drives will fail testing with h2tesw and think the memory cards will too.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have purchased a false capacity device on ebay.
