Yet another devious oriental gremlin on ebay selling fake flash

leave a comment »

Is there no end to the number of gremlin IDs in the orient that ebay will allow to be registered? In other parts of the world they seem to have fairly strict identity checks – yet when it comes to the far east they seem to allow unlimited IDs for fraudsters with the same addresses.

We are certain that y56grd_6yhrt6 is yet another such fraudster. No one could sell a genuine 16gb flash drive on ebay for this price! The seller had over 400 of these available when the listing started and they seem to have been selling like hotcakes – shows how little most people know about the true cost of flash memory items!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have purchased a false capacity device on ebay.
