Suspect listing for 16GB flash drives on ebay USA

leave a comment »

We think all eight models of 16GB flash drive offered by seller talonz24 will prove to be fake capacity and will trash users data after a while. We have three reasons for thinking this:

They are a tad too cheap to be genuine
One of the models offered is the fraudster’s favourite – always fake capacity
The seller is using private listings – generally a surefire indicator of fraud when selling flash memory

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have purchased a false capacity device on ebay.
