UK ebay seller relists obvious fake 64GB flash drive

with 3 comments

Item number 190343170575 listed on ebay by seller lmproducts0909 is a patently fake flash drive. This will not have a capacity anywhere near 64GB.

Originally this seller showed a far better picture and listings looked far more professional. Apparently this seller infringed the copyright of another ebay seller by using their logo in listings. This seller seems to be a nasty little bit of work! Testing with h2testw will reveal the truth about this fake.

We advised the ebay member whose copyright was apparently infringed that we are prepared to present evidence against lmproducts0909 in court if the ebay member (who has set up their own website for sales – though it’s not yet active) who stated their copyright was infringed by lmproducts0909 wishes to prosecute this seller. Handily they both live in the same area – so getting to court shouldn’t be a problem.

All listings from this seller seemed to have ended – even ones that were not for fake flash drives. Maybe lmproducts0909 was contacted by Lawmore Products’ solicitors about impersonating them if the two really are two different sellers. However, it looks as though the listings went back up.

UPDATE 02/11/09
The fact that two searches for lawmore products were done today prompted us to have another look at this seller. Seems there is no feedback on this item, though it had 16 bids. We also looked at item number 190345685561 – a heated car seat and found that lmproducts0909 is using the lawmore products logo again.

  1. Silly question really, are you looking for listings from the seller on

If I look for items for sale from a UK seller whilst in the USA ebay, it comes up as seller has no items for sale until I log back on to the and perform the same search.

  2. Just checked

I did a search on lmproducts0909 and the result indicated “This seller currently has no items for sale”

Then I did a search for item 190343170575 and found the item, and it still appeared to be active.

I cannot think of an explaination on why the difference except that Ebay may have a “hold” on this account

  3. At the moment, lmproducts0909 is still listing the fake 64gb flash drive amongst other products.

I noticed the name could be easily picked up wrong.

The first letter of the ID is an “L”, not an “I”.

Makes a lot more sense that way too as it clearly becomes “L M Products”.
