Utter madness on ebay!

This listing by mamaseller2009 (registered in China) demonstates just how insane fraudsters can get in attempting to get foothold on ebay with their fake flash sales.

gremlin2sSeller mamaseller2009 is yet another gremlin from China selling fake capacity flash drives. This ebay gremlin used 1p starting prices for a large number of auctions for 16GB flash drves with free P&P.

Who but a fraudster would have multiple listings for a selection of new 16GB USB flash drives at auction with a start price of 1p?? The prices they sold at would mean a big loss for anyone selling genuine 16GB flash drives.

Early listings are padded with loss-making auctions of styluses for the nintendo, set at a start prices of 42p with free P&P. The start price for the styluses probably just covered the P&P. Do you get the picture yet??

This is deliberate fraud on ebay. Any flash drive from seller mamaseller2009 will be a fake capacity drive that will corrupt your files. Feedback for the fake capacity flash drives from this seller started to come in on the 16th of October. So far it seems that none of the buyers tested their flash drives as all have left positive feedback.

Wake up and smell the coffee ebayers!! Most of the flash memory (flash drives, memory cards, MP players etc) on ebay is fake capacity. You cannot buy genuine new 16GB flash drives (even ones that are not brand name) on ebay for £10 – £15!!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
