guoxing_0829

gremlin2sSeller guoxing_0829 is yet another gremlin from China selling fake capacity flash drives. The flash drive above will have nowhere near the capacity claimed and will eventually corrupt users’ data. We advise everyone to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

gremlin2sSeller fengtiaoyushun1618 is yet another gremlin from China selling fake capacity flash drives.

The flash drive in this listing is counterfeit and fake capacity. It will have a capacity much smaller than the advertised 64GB.

Fake flash drives eventually corrupt users’ data when the true capacity is exceeded as there is nowhere for them to go.

We advise everyone to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

tellwyf2009

gremlin2sSeller tellwyf2009 is yet another gremlin from China selling the favourite fake flash drive supplied by most of the fraudsters on ebay.

These flash drives eventually corrupt users’ data because they are fake capacity.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Another fraudster de-registered by ebay

Seller oghsncdj has been suspended by ebay for selling fake USB flash drives. This seller had auctions for a range of drives in various capacities. If you bought from this seller test your flash drive with the free program h2testw.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay. If you send in your information there is a permanent record of the fraud – ebay may be able to remove the evidence of fraud from their site but they cannot wriggle away from evidence held in a database.

UK ebayer used private listings for suspect 64GB DT150 flash drives

0170*page

Seller 0170*page used private listings to sell these 64 Kingston DataTraveler 150 flash drives – this suggests to us that the seller may be aware that they are counterfeits. Counterfeits are fake capacity and will corrupt users’ files when the true capacity is exceeded. Genuine Kingston DT 150 drives have individual serial numbers which can be verified with Kingston. We don’t think they will verify these.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

UK ebay seller with suspect 32GB Kingston in private auctions

leave a comment »

vaughnstephenWe very much doubt that the 32GB Kingston flash drives from vaughnstephen are genuine. Serial numbers can be checked with Kingston to verify genuine drives.

The use of private auctions make us suspect that the seller may be aware that these are dodgy.

If they are counterfeits (as we strongly suspect) they will be fake capacity and will corrupt users’ files when the real capacity is exceeded.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.
