Suspect looking 8GB flash drives listed by UK ebay seller

with 2 comments

needformemoryThe shiny little capacity stickers on these 8GB USB flash drives sold by needformemory make us suspect that these are fakes purchased from a fraudulent wholesale outlet in the far east.

Every flash drive with these stickers the fightflashfraud team tested turned out to be fake capacity – we are sure these will be too. Fake capacity flash drives cause data loss and corruption.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

  1. Hi Erwin,

If you didn’t email your test results, item number, seller ID etc to please do so – otherwise the info won’t go in the frankenflash project database – you can see what we need on the report a fake tab as sosfakeflash
