gremlin2s We think the 16GB MP players from Hong Kong seller tamstore003 will be fake capicity – a lot less than 16GB.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

UPDATE: February 2010:
This seller is now a proven fraudster who has sold a large number of fake flash memory items – if you bought an MP player, USB flash drive or other flash memory item from this seller then you should test it immediately.

If you have not saved a lot of files to it you may be able to retreive the data – but once the true capacity is exceeded you are likely to lose everything you saved to it. Please warn others who bought the same item as you from this seller.
