UK ebay seller 2009amandasharkey2009 has obviously visited fake flash land and come back with the fraudster’s favourite flash drive with the massively fake capacity of 64GB.

This particular flash drive is the fraudsters’ favourite – sold by fraudulent wholesalers to many ebay sellers and sold directly on ebay by fraud gangs in the far east. It is a favourite with fraudsters because it is easily programmed to any fake capacity they like. These flash drives will corrupt users’ files once the true capacity (probably no more than 2GB) is exceeded.

Seller 2009amandasharkey2009 probably doesn’t yet realise that the flash drives sold are fakes. We suggest this seller tests remaining stock with h2testw and (when the truth is revealed by this free program) contacts and refunds all buyers.

It costs a lot more than the buy it now price of £18.99 to make a genuine 64GB flash drive!! The highest genuine capacity flash drive you can expect to buy at this price is 16GB.

We wish ebay members would do their research before either selling or buying flash drives or other flash memory items. Then they would know the true cost of flash memory. Maybe then sellers wouldn’t fall into the clutches of fraudulent wholesalers and buyers on ebay would realise when something is likely to be fake.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
