with 2 comments

gremlin2s Devious new gremlin rodrigoopv is using a private listing to sell patently fake 64GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 flash drives. It costs a lot more than the buy it now price in this listing to make a real one. These fakes will corrupt users’ files.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

  1. It probably won’t format – many fakes won’t.

Sometimes fakes have malware and viruses that can affect your computer.

Fakes are completely worthless and will corrupt any files you save to them once the real
    (usually tiny) capacity is exceeded.

  2. does the fake ones worth anything?

I purchased one (which i didn’t know it is fake), and it tells me to format it (i’m doing it right now).
is that going to affect my computer?
