A very dodgy looking listing for a flash drive on ebay UK

We think the listing above (item number 270490178354) by usbislanduk looks very dodgy indeed!!

We think this and the buy it now listing (item number 27048233262) are an attempt to dispose of counterfeit and fake capacity 32GB Corsair Voyager flash drives as 8GB generic drives. The seller is using a private listing for the buy it now to hide what was sold.

Investigation a couple of months back revealed the likely source of a fake drive of another type sold by this seller as genuine in a private listing. No doubt this came from the same source. In the listings the seller says:

NOTE: 32GB written on case but testing with H2TESTW gives 8GB

What the seller omits to say is that these flash drives will eventually corrupt all data unless the seller managed to reprogram them successfuly – and even then they will never be reliable.
