Beware of counterfeit and fake capacity memory cards on ebay

with 2 comments

An ebay member who has been watching listings for SD memory cards took a screenshot of ended items in his watchlist. We agree with this ebayer that every single card in the list of sold SD cards shown below will prove to be a fake that will corrupt most or all of the users’ photos or video files.

If you bought a memory card or any other item that uses flash memory from any of these ebay sellers we think you will find it is fake capacity and will corrupt your data.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if your testing confirms you have a false capacity device.

  1. Even if you had sent all the info, probably wouldn’t have had time to post about all of them – your pic said it all, really.

The best thing anyone can do is probably to try to warn ebayers generally and tell them about h2testw.

If you are in a position to contact an individual who bought a fake try to get them to test the item, claim a refund and report in to sosfakeflash with test results.

Unfortunately a lot of ebayers (both sellers and buyers) seem to be either too darned stupid or too pig-headed to pay attention to advice!

  2. Most of these sellers shown above have now mysteriously disappeared from my “watching” list. I went from having over 22 of these sellers now down to 6 left. I wish I sent you all the pages.
