These 64GB Sony flash drives on ebay USA are fake

leave a comment »

Sony do not sell any USB flash drives above 16GB capacity and the Vaio name is only used for laptops. There is simply no such thing as a 64GB Sony Vaio flash drive! These were manufactured by fraudsters and will have a capacity nowhere near 64GB. Fakes are sold by many fraudulent wholesalers – and seller dishnetwork1 obviously bought from one of them. Sellers – for goodness sake do your research before buying flash memory to sell on ebay and test a sample of any drives you plan to re-sell with h2testw!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

We think this ebayer has been shopping in fake flash land

Seller ranshelle seems to have been shopping in fake flash land as we can’t see how anyone could afford to list genuine 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drives with such a low start price. The seller may be unaware that these are likely to be counterfeits that will trash users’ files. Genuine DT200 drives all have individual serial numbers that can be verified with Kingston. We think it unlikely they will verify these.

We advise everyone to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Job lot of 10 Kingston flash drives too cheap to be genuine

This job lot of 10 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drives listed by lmconline09 seems to be too cheap for them to possibly be genuine. We think this seller bought these from one of the many fraudulent wholesale outlets supplying counterfeit and fake capacity memory items.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Is this 16GB Sandisk Contour flash drive on ebay genuine?

The start price for this 16GB Sandisk Contour USB flash drive listed by princekechy seems a little low which makes us wonder whether or not it is genuine. If it is not then it is likely to corrupt the buyer’s files.

A rare old fake on ebay USA!! There are no 512GB flash drives yet.

This is totally counterfeit and fake capacity – there is not yet a 512GB USB flash drive made by ANYONE and certainly not by Kingston – the highest capacity is 256GB. Seller skaldictechnologies obviously bought from a fraudulent supplier.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

We think this flash drive on ebay is fake fake fakity fake

We think this supposedly 32GB USB flash drive is no such thing – we think it has a much smaller capacity and has been fraudulently programmed to display a false capacity. Such drives trash users’ files after a while. We advise everyone buying flash memory to test with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

We doubt very much if the 128GB Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drives listed on ebay by daniacollection are genuine. We think they are counterfeit and fake capacity items purchased from one of the many fraudulent wholesalers.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.
