Seller talben09 (registered in Israel) seems to be yet another ebayer who has been shopping in fakeflashland and purchased USB flash drives from a fraudulent supplier. The buy it now price of these is far too low for these to be genuine. The seller may have no idea they are fakes – far too few ebay sellers do their research before buying flash memory to re-sell on ebay.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

UPDATE
This seller may be a slippery customer – we find that, having changed ID from talbenshahar to talben09 about 10 days before we originally posted the article, this seller changed his or her ebay ID again today (13th March 2010) to marketplace74 – in the interval this seller sold more fakes!
