128GB Kingston flash drives from this ebay seller are probably fake

We think it highly unlikely that the 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 flash drives from ebay seller ranwoz (registered in Australia) are genuine. What ebay seller in their right mind would take the risk of auctioning such an expensive item at such a low start price? Nobody in the fightflashfraud team for sure!!

If ranwoz is a wealthy person who can afford to make huge losses then buyers will be able to confirm that their flash drives are genuine by verifying the serial numbers with Kingston. We think it extremely unlikely that Kingston will verify the flash drives from this seller.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
