Another fraudster on ebay with very dodgy feedback

leave a comment »

We wouldn’t touch flash memory items listed on ebay by seller hengheng-store88 with a bargepole. We think this seller is part of a fraud ring we christened the singjapan gang. The IDs of most of the “satisfied buyers” of items from this seller are other fraudsters registered in Singapore who we are watching. In other words the feedback is as fake as this 64GB USB flash drive which will trash the user’s files after a while.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report in to SOSFakeFlash if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

Obvious fake Kingston flash drives listed by ebayer in Canada

leave a comment »

Kingston have never made the model of USB flash drive shown in this listing by blue_chip_general_store in 64GB capacity, as anyone who who has looked at the Kingston web site would know. These are fakes that will trash files. This means that seller blue_chip_general_store has bought from a fraudulent wholesaler and all the flash drives advertised by this seller will be fakes that destroy data after a while.

We advise everyone to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.

Another member of the singjapan fraud ring on ebay

leave a comment »

seller roy-store188 who supplied the fake flash drive shown in this ebay listing is a member of a fraud ring shipping fake flash memory out of Singapore. Many of this fraud gang claim their items are made in Japan – we don’t think so! Any flash memory bought from this seller will be fake capacity and will destroy data after a while.

As usual we strongly advise ebayers to test all flash memory with the free program h2testw.
