This 32GB USB flash drive will be a fake that corrupts files

leave a comment »

This 32GB USB flash drive listed on ebay by seller fromamericaforyou will be a fake that corrupts users’ files. Every single flash drive we tested that came in this packaging proved to be a fake that trashed data.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

This 64GB Sony USB flash drive on ebay is fake fake fakity fake!

leave a comment »

The 64GB USB flash drives in this listing from ebay seller margotbor (registered in Taiwan) are fake fake fakity fake! Not made by Sony and not 64GB. The seller may be unaware that they are fakes which will corrupt files once the true capacity (a lot less than 64GB!) is exceeded, but we can assure both buyers and the seller that this will be the case.

This seller has obviously been to fake flash land as we notice listings for 32GB Sandisk flash drives that are far too cheap to be genuine and the fraudsters’ favourite leather and steel model at 32GB and 64GB. They will be equally fake items which are gaurenteed to corrupt users’ files after a while.

Actually, looking at the number of listings from this seller, we suspect that this could be yet another case of deliberate fraud. Time will tell…

We advise everyone (both buyers and sellers) to test all flash memory items with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you (or your customers) run the risk of data loss and corruption.

NOTE:
For any of you that didn’t realise – Sony do not sell ANY 64GB USB flash drives – if you see such a thing advertised anywhere you can be sure it is fake.

This 32GB USB flash drive from China is bound to be fake

We noticed a couple of dodgy looking items from an ebay member recently registered in China so took a look at what else this ebayer had sold. We found that seller tina_200802 had sold a very familiar fake flash drive – the leather and steel type flash drive that always proves to be a fake that corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

If these 16GB USB flash drives are genuine seller is making a loss

leave a comment »

If these USB flash drives sold in ebay auctions by paylessstore747 are genuine then we are sure the seller has made a loss on every flash drive sold. We think it more likely that this ebay member, like many others, fell into the trap of buying from a fraudulent wholesaler. If this is the case these flash drives will corrupt files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

UK ebayer sells obviously counterfeit 64GB Kingston DataTravelers

with 3 comments

This model of Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drive is not made in 64GB capacity. It is counterfeit and fake capacity. Seller scomm2010 obviously bought from a fraudulent supplier without checking the Kingston website to see what is really available. Counterfeit drives like this corrupt files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Flash drive on ebay is drop-shipped from China and will be fake

leave a comment »

Seller junqi1242 (located in the Phillipines) lists the item location as being China. This means a drop-shipping operation is involved. Drop shipping from China is bad news when it comes to flash memory – any flash memory item drop-shipped from China is likely to be fake.

In the case of this 64GB USB flash drive listed by junqi1242 there is no doubt it is fake capacity and will trash users’ files. It is far too cheap to be anything other than a fake.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

This UK ebay seller has been shopping in fakeflashland

UK ebayer marispaberzs has obviously been shopping at a fraudulent wholesale outlet supplying fake flash memory. The flash drive in this listing is a very familiar model of fake. This leather and steel type 64GB USB flash drive has always proved to be fake capacity – and fake capacity leads to lost and corrupted files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.
