We doubt that these 128GB Kingston DT200 drives are genuine

leave a comment »

We think the 128Gb Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drives listed by nbesky (registered in Indonesia) will, like almost all on ebay, prove to be counterfeit and fake capacity items that corrupt data. A lot of ebay sellers seem to be buying from fraudulent wholesalers supplying fake flash memory items.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

We are fairly certain that this is a fake capacity flash drive

This is a fairly familiar model of flash drive to members of the fightflashfraud team. We have come across many fake capacity flash drives of this type and think that this 32GB one sold by deluxery2408 will be no different. Fakes trash files. The seller no doubt bought from a fraudulent supplier and may be unaware of the fake flash problem.

Are these 4GB Kingston DataTraveler flash drives on ebay genuine?

leave a comment »

If the 4GB Kingston DataTraveler flash drives sold by dolltoyou (registered in Thailand) are genuine then we think this seller must be making a loss. The other possibility is that the seller bought from a fraudulent supplier and that they are counterfeits which will corrupt users’ files. At the moment we can’t say one way or another.

There is no such thing as a 128GB Sony Vaio USB flash drive

with 6 comments

Sony does not use the Vaio name for USB flash drives and does not sell flash drives above 32GB. These flash drives listed by sunshine.786 are counterfeit and fake capacity items that will corrupt files. The seller obviously bought from a fraudulent supplier.
