Ebay member leo19600_0 (based in Belgium) was warned by an ebay member that this flash drive was likely to be a fake and advised to test with h2testw. This seller bought flash drives on ebay from fraudsters we are keeping an eye on. The response from leo19600_0 was that the flash drive works fine – we think not!!

Either seller leo19600_0 failed to understand or doesn’t care about selling fakes. Please ebayers – if someone suggests you have bought or listed for sale an item that is likely to be fake and suggests you test with h2test, take it seriously! Fake flash memory corrupts files – many people have lost data that no amount of money could replace due to using fake flash memory items.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
