Seller on ebay USA seems to have fallen into dropshipping trap

leave a comment »

Ebay seller pcdepotsell appears to have fallen into the trap of becoming involved in dropshipping USB flash drives for a supplier in Hong Kong. Sellers who get involved in dropshipping operations never clap eyes on the items they sell. This is particularly dangerous in the case of flash memory items such as USB flash drives as the seller has no opportunity to test the merchandise.

We advise ebay sellers to steer clear of dropshipping – you have no idea what sort of crud your buyers will receive. In the case of flash memory items shipped out of Hong Kong or Singapore they will almost certainly be fake capacity items that corrupt files.

We advise ebay buyers to steer clear of any listings in which the item location does not match the seller location. This probably means the seller has not examined the goods they are selling and you are likely to get counterfeit (or otherwise fake) merchandise.

Above all where flash memory is concerned we advise everyone to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
