Seems ebay seller in Canada shopped in fake flash land

Seller hotbc2003 seems to have bought these Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drives from a fraudulent supplier. We have come to this conclusion because the seller has continued listing them at aucton despite the fact that the prices they sold at would have meant making a loss on each sale.

The only reason we can see for continuing to sell in this way is that they are counterfeits bought at a low price from one of the fraudulent wholesale outlets supplying counterfeit and fake capacity flash memory items. Counterfeit USB flash drives corrupt files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
