128GB USB flash drives on ebay USA are fakes which corrupt files

leave a comment »

Seller sivanusac does not want to beleive it but these 128GB USB flash drives are fakes that will corrupt users’ files. A buyer of one in a similar listing commented:

128gb flash counterfiet. Has Sony label. they don’t make one. Paypal Claim!

The seller replied:

We do not sell counteriet, never claimed they were Sony.

If something is marked with a brand name (whether or not the seller mentions this) and it was not made by that company then it IS a counterfeit, whatever the seller may say! As this seller obviously bought from a fraudulent supplier all flash memory items from sivanusac will no doubt be fakes.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

This 128GB Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drive listed on ebay Australia by andamianou is too cheap for it to be genuine. This seller obviously bought from a fraudulent supplier and as a result this flash drive corrupts files because it is both counterfeit and fake capacity. The seller may have no idea these are fakes.

Another fraudster from Singapore sells fake flash drives on ebay

leave a comment »

You’d have more success trying to save your valuable computer files in a bottle of Johnny Walker scotch than on flash drives from Singapore based ebay seller johnny.walker188. This is probably the most familiar fake flash drive on ebay sold in any fake capacity you like but seldom actually able to store as much as 2GB of data.

This model of USB flash drive always corrupts files and is sold by almost every fraud gang operating on ebay including the Singapore based fraud ring we christened the singjapan to which the ID johnny.walker188 seems to belong. This seller skipped off ebay after selling only six of these and some (probably dodgy) phone batteries.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

UK seller dannandeva may not know this but the 16GB USB flash drives this seller has listed for sale are fake capacity and corrupt files. They were no doubt purchased from one of the many wholesale outlets supplying fake flash memory items that trash users’ data.

This so called 64 Sony Vaio USB flash drive on ebay is a fake

leave a comment »

This flash drive is fake fake fakity fake and will corrupt files. There is no such thing as a 64GB Sony Vaio USB flash drive, or indeed any other capacity of Sony Vaio flash drive!

Sony do not use the Vaio name for flash drives and do not sell flash drives in capacities over 32GB. What we have here is a fraudulent item from yet another seller of fake flash memory based in Hong Kong. The ID tngyou6r no doubt belongs to one of the fraud rings operating on ebay.

We are sure this 128GB Kingston will turn out to be counterfeit

We think it highly unlikely that this 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drive listed by seller gucia78 on ebay USA will be genuine. In the very unlikely case that it is the serial number can be verified with Kingston. It seems much more likely (as the starting price for the auction is below manufacturing cost) that it is counterfeit and fake capacity. A counterfeit and fake capacity USB flash drive corrupts files.
