This 4GB Integral USB flash drive on ebay seems a little cheap which makes us wonder if it could be a counterfeit purchased from one of the many fraudulent wholesale outlets selling fakes. If it is a fake USB flash drive then it corrupts files.

Seller dangermousedaniel is wrong in thinking this flash drive is faulty. It is not working because it is counterfeit – an out and out fake! It is not, never was, and never will be a 256GB flash drive!!

US ebayer sold fake 128GB USB flash drives that corrupt files

Seller shopping8812009 (registered in the USA) sold a number of 128GB flash drives like the one in the listing shown above. The seller states that refunds will be given if items are defective – we think there could be a rush of buyers claiming refunds as we are certain this USB flash drive is counterfeit, fake capacity and corrupts files. The notorious leather and steel type fake was also sold by shopping8812009. The seller may not be aware that he or she bought from a fraudulent supplier.

Looks like this ebay seller in Canada shopped in fake flash land

This 128GB Kingston USB flash drive listed on ebay by tn_tran is fairly certain to be counterfeit and fake capacity. This ebay seller (registered in Canada) has a number of listings for 128GB and 64GB Kingston USB flash drives – we think they were purchased from a fraudulent supplier. The seller may not realise there could be a problem but we are certain that any USB flash drive from tn_tran corrupts files due to the fact that the memory chips in them actually have a much smaller capacity than shown by the operating system.

These 32GB USB flash drives sold on ebay UK look like fakes to us.

These 32GB USB flash drives sold by moja_zosia on ebay UK look like fakes to us. We think that anyone who bought a USB flash drive from this seller will find it corrupts files. The seller may not be aware they are likely to be fake capacity items programmed to show a false capacity to the operating system with the result that once the true capacity is exceeded files start to be lost and corrupted.

Kingston do not yet sell 512GB USB flash drives – and nor does anyone else except fraudulent wholesalers in China who sell counterfeit and fake capacity flash memory items. This USB flash drive sold by gaza068 on ebay Australia is fake fake fakeity-fake.

So far this seller has sold two of these, one on December 14 2009 (item 260523454098 and one on 09 February 2010 (item 260550283129) – when will the next one be listed we wonder? A fake USB flash like this corrupts files – kiss goodbye to your precious data if you buy one.

UK ebayer buys fake flash from known fraudsters and re-sells

We noticed this item (a well known model of fake USB flash drive) sold by UK ebay member tom1985palace and had a look at the seller’s history. We discovered that this member has been buying USB flash drives from known fraudsters including printkingdom, lingpao, oubrandproducts and xprodeal and re-selling them to other members. Anyone who bought a USB flash drive from this seller landed themselves a fake that corrupts files.
