Good greif! a 128GB USB flash drive listed on ebay for under £16!

Poor old Snoopy fell off his doghouse in shock when he saw this listing. When he recovered conciousness Snoopy told us that UK ebay seller ewandub bought these from a fraudulent supplier who advertises on a well known site where fraudulent wholesale outlets in China ply their wares.

That didn’t surprise us – it would cost more than £16 for the flash chips (let alone other components) to make a 32GB flash drive let alone a 128GB one! Had this seller done his or her research properly then ewandub would have known better than to buy these.

This 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drive is a counterfeit and fake capacity item which corrupts files. The seller probably has no idea that this is the case.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
