Hong Kong fraudster sells obvious fake 32GB Kingston on ebay

leave a comment »

Fraudulent Hong Kong seller kingtoqueen (no doubt an ID belonging to a familiar fraud gang) sold the very obvious fake 32GB Kingston DataTraveler pictured above. This model of flash drive is colour coded according to capacity. The colour shown is for a 4GB drive so either this is a fraudulently reprogrammed 4GB Kingston drive or it is entirely counterfeit – not made by Kingston at all. Either way this flash drive is fake capacity and corrupts files. The same applies to any other flash memory item from this seller – it will corrupt files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
