Fighting flash fraud on Ebay

Are this UK ebay seller’s 2GB Sandisk flash drives genuine?

We don’t see how UK seller rick.b123 could sell genuine new 2GB Sandisk microskin flash drives quite this cheaply on ebay and make a profit, given the fees charged by ebay and paypal along with the postage costs. Even the cheapest e-tailers (who buy in the thousands) charge more than £4.50 for these.

This leads us to suspect they could be counterfeits purchased from a fraudulent supplier. If they were purchased from a fraudulent supplier they will be fake capacity flash drives. A fake capacity flash drive corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.
