this 4GB Kingston DataTraveler on ebay UK does not look right

leave a comment »

We think the 4GB Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drives listed on ebay UK by mrpcp are counterfeit and fake capacity. The label does not look right – it looks like the label we have seen on other counterfeits of this model. We think these USB flash drives came from a fraudulent supplier and will corrupt files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

If you buy a USB flash drive from ebay seller funicon you are bound to end up with lost and corrupted files eventually as the flash drives being sold are fake capacity.

Looks like another counterfeit Kingston DT200 on ebay UK

We think it extremely unlikely that this 128GB Kingston DataTraveler flash drive listed on ebay by princess99emma is genuine. It is much more likely to be counterfeit and fake capacity. If we are correct then this flash drive corrupts files.

This 128GB Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drive (ebay item number 250593593399) was sold on ebay at auction by UK seller strefa27 at below the cost of manufacturing this device i(f it was genuine)!! We don’t yet know where strefa27 got this USB flash drive from, but we are certain it will be fake capacity and corrupts files. The seller may be unaware that the item was fake.

128GB Kingston USB flash drive in private listing on ebay Australia

We doubt that the 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drives listed on ebay Australia by pacino5123 are genuine. We think they will turn out to be counterfeit and fake capacity. A fake capacity flash drive inevitably corrupts files when the real (usually tiny) capacity is exceeded. We find the use of a private listing a bit suspicious – this makes us wonder if the seller may be aware these are fake.

ebay fraudster 20091215 pretends fake flash drives are in the UK

leave a comment »

Seller 20091215 is in China but is trying to look like a UK seller by lying about the location of thes fake capacity 16GB USB flash drives in this listing. A fake capacity USB flash drive corrupts files and this leather and steel model is always fake capacity. These are sold in their thousands by fraudsters in China on ebay and elsewhere on the Internet. Take our advice – never buy this model of flash drive!!

Massive 500GB fake Sony flash drive on ebay Australia

leave a comment »

There is no such thing as a 500GB USB flash drive and never will be. This was not made by Sony and the real capacity of this drive is probably about 1GB. Fake capacity USB flash drives like this corrupt files. The seller (summers3167) probably knows nothing about flash memory and may have no idea that this is the case.
