looks like ebayer in Spain re-selling fake flash drive bought from ebay fraudster in China

with one comment

We think that lonsd-ale bought this fake capacity 64GB USB flash drive from an ebay fraudster in China and is now re-selling it. Sadly a lot of ebay members do this – buy what they think are bargains on ebay and try to re-sell at a profit. This may work for some things but not for flash memory. If a USB flash drive on ebay (especialy in private listings) seems to be a great bargain then it is fairly certain to be a fake that corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

128GB DataTraveler 200 sold by UK ebayer is surely counterfeit

leave a comment »

The 128GB USB flash drive sold by UK seller treasure_box_72 on ebay (item number 300406486199) is certain to be counterfeit. Counterfeit flash drives are fake capacity and corrupt files. Sadly many of those selling flash memory items on ebay have no knowledge of the technology or the true cost of such items and fall into the trap of buying from fraudulent suppliers. Others are deliberate fraudsters.

At this point we don’t know which applies in the case of this seller – what we do know is that this flash drive will corrupt the buyer’s files after a while.

This 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drive listed on ebay UK by 2010lukaszmarek13 is too cheap to be anything but a counterfeit. A counterfeit flash drive always has a fake capacity and corrupts files as a result.

Are this USA ebay seller’s Sandisk flash drives genuine?

leave a comment »

Seller neatstuff6070 has a number of auctions for Sandisk flash drives and we wonder if this seller may be yet another who fell into the trap of buying from a fraudulent supplier. If these flash drives came from a fraudulent wholesale outlet they will be counterfeit, fake capacity and will corrupt files. If they are genuine then a test with h2testw will confirm they have the stated capacity.

Seems USA seller mope4370 sold this counterfeit DT200 knowingly

leave a comment »

As this seller apparently previously told a buyer of one of these counterfeit flash drives that he or she was a victim of the supplier when the buyer complained about it being fake one would have expected any honest seller to cease listing these and refund customers. Did mope4370 do so? NO! This flash drive is fake capacity and corrupts files.
