ebayer in Malaysia sells counterfeit 128GB Kingston flash drives

leave a comment »

The 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drives in this ebay listing from vivimodf465 are too cheap to be anything but counterfeits. The fact that vivimodf465 is also selling a notorious fake model (64GB leather and steel type) indicates that the seller purchased from a fraudulent wholesale supplier. A counterfeit flash drive is also fake capacity and corrupts files once the real capacity is exceeded. The seller may be unaware they are fake.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

ebay seller sells 128GB Corsair flash drive too cheaply for them to be genuine.

We are certain that the 128GB Corsair USB flash drive sold on ebay by atlantc246 will prove to be counterfeit and fake capacity. They were far too cheap to be anything else. The same applies to 64GB Corsair and Kingston flash drives from this seller.
The fact that atlantc246 sold a very obvious fake capacity leather and steel type flash drive suggests to us that this UK ebayer bought from one of the fraudulent wholesale outlets in China. All this seller’s USB flash drives will be fake capacity and a fake capacity flash drive corrupts files eventually.
