These 32GB Kingston USB flash drives listed on ebay by pgnthompson seem a bit too cheap. We suspect they were purchased from a fradulent wholesale outlet and will turn out to be counterfeits. A counterfeit flash drive is always fake capacity and corrupts files.

ebay seller lists fake 16GB Sony flash drive in private auction

There is no such thing as a Sony Vaio USB flash drive – these were invented by fraudsters in China to capitalise on the Sony brand name.

The use of a private auction causes us to suspect that seller akboys3 (registered in Australia) may be aware that this is a fake capacity flash drive that corrupts files.

Beware of MP players from ukpluseuro – suspect seller in the UK

leave a comment »

We have a feeling that the MP players listed on ebay UK by ukpluseuro will not have the advertised storage capacity. We think they are cheap fakes purchased from a wholesaler in China and that this seller knows it! This seller advertises this as a stock clearance – we don’t think so!!

Investigations by the fightflashfraud team suggest that this seller is connected to another UK seller who sold fake capacity flash drives until exposed by fightflashfraud and is probably still selling other dodgy flash memory items!

This member changed ebay ID three times in just over twelve months – now why would you do that??

The UK member we see connections with also changed ID several times. Do we have a little ebay fraud ring developing here?
