the.moon.rocker007 another ebay fake flash seller in Singapore

Beware of flash memory items from Singapore based ebay seller the.moon.rocker007 – they are certain to be fakes which trash your data. The ebay ID the.moon.rocker007 belongs to a fraud ring in Singapore which fightflashfraud has been watching for some time.

The USB flash drive pictured in this listing is a favourite with fraudesters who program them to a fake capacity. This USB flash drive corrupts files once the real capacity(usually 2GB or less) is reached and eventually the drive becomes totally corrupt and useless – as happens with all fake flash memory.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

The 128GB USB flash drive in this ebay listing from yggw709 is counterfeit, fake capacity and corrupts files. The fact that there is no mention of Kingston in the listing makes us wonder if this seller knows these are fake.

fake flash seller new-888 has another go at fraud on ebay

Fraudulent ebay seller new-888 was caught selling fake flash memory last year but has decided to have another go at defrauding people on ebay. We find it almost unbeleivable that (despite new-888 having a feedback score of 1 with only 60% positive and a negative that clearly indicates the seller sold fake flash before) six ebayers bid on this counterfeit and fake capacity flash drive that corrupts files.

Sometimes we despair about getting the message across. Some of the people involved in blogs like this one are IT professionals who fell foul of fake flash a long time ago because we’d bought other things at good prices on ebay and had become too trusting – we did not have our thinking heads on when we put in bids on flash drives, memory cards etc.

Profit margins on flash memory is in fact very low – buy cheap and you will no doubt pay dear by finding that all the hard work you did on photos, sound files, videos, databases, spreadsheets, word documents, presentations (or whatever it is you saved to a fake flash device like this) is completely trashed once you reach the actual (usually tiny) capacity of fakes.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

This 128GB USB flash drive sold on ebay by hongfu1971518 is certain to be counterfeit, fake capacity and corrupts files. Do not think you can buy genuine high capacity flash drives like this for low prices on ebay – all you will get is a fake that trashes your data!

USA ebay seller gfxguru00 lists counterfeit Kingston flash drives

This 128GB Kingston DataTraveler USB flash drive from ebay seller gfxguru00 is pretty certain to be counterfeit and fake capacity. A false capacity USB flash drive always corrupts files. You cannot buy a genuine 128GB Kingston DataTraveler flash drive at this price on ebay (or anywhere else for that matter) – all you will get is a fake that trashes your data.

USA ebayer acom1 sells apparently counterfeit 128GB Corsair flash drive

leave a comment »

The model of Corsair flash drive shown in this ebay listing does not seem to be made in 128GB capacity. Corsair do sell 128GB USB flash drives but they do not look like this. We conclude that this USB flash drive is a counterfeit which acom1 bought from a fraudulent supplier.

A counterfeit USB flash drive always has a fake capacity – when you plug it into the computer it seems to have the capacity claimed but testing will reveal the true capacity is much less. Such false capacity USB flash drives inevitably corrupt files after a while and eventually become totally corrupted and useless.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.
