specialboost sells counterfeit 128GB Kingston on ebay Germany

leave a comment »

Seller specialboost has already had two negs suggesting that 64GB Kingston drives sold previously were fakes and one of the seller’s listings was removed by ebay. This did not deter specialboost from selling this 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200. We are certain this USB flash drive is counterfeit, fake capacity and corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Report your fake if testing confirms you have purchased fake capacity flash memory on ebay.

If Sandisk flash drives sold on ebay by cocho6666 are genuine the seller seems to be making a loss

leave a comment »

We suspect that cocho6666 bought the Sandisk USB flash drives listed on ebay from a fraudulent supplier because if they are genuine then it looks like this seller has been making a loss on sales. If they did come from a fraudulent supplier they will be counterfeit and fake capacity. A fake capacity USB flash drive corrupts files after a while.

looks like UK ebayer techno-wise is selling a fake flash drive from China

leave a comment »

We think UK ebayer techno-wise is not so wise about technology as the ID would suggest. We suspect that this 16GB USB flash drive was purchased in a private ebay sale by fraudulent seller bestkejian10.

Had seller techno-wise tested this flash drive with h2testw we are certain that he or she would have discovered it is fake capacity and corrupts files. We advise everyone who buys flash memory items (whether for themselves or to re-sell) to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you (or your customers) run the risk of data loss and corruption.

fake USB flash drives listed on ebay by scotarra85 will trash files

The model of flash drive in this ebay listing from scotarra85 (a seller in Indonesia) is notorious for being fake capacity and corrupting files. The seller obviously got these from a fraudulent supplier.

128GB Kingston flash drive from ebayer kuschellwuschellbob bound to be fake

leave a comment »

This 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 from kuschellwuschellbob sold for less than the cost of the flash chips needed for a drive of this capacity. If it was genuine the seller would have made a loss of over 200 euros on the sale by auction on ebay. The seller is not deterred and has listed another one at auction on ebay Germany. This makes us sure that they are counterfeit – and a counterfeit USB flash drive is fake capacity and corrupts files.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

Seems UK ebay seller solar-mall bought USB flash drives from fraudulent supplier

leave a comment »

We are pretty sure that the USB flash drives listed on ebay by solar-mall were purchased from a fraudulent supplier. If we are right then this USB flash drive is fake capacity and corrupts files. The same applies to other models of flash drive listed by this seller.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

UPDATE 04 JUNE 2010
When we originally put up this post we failed to check where the seller is actually registered as we did it in a hurry, seller solar-mall is actually a fraudster in China who deviousy pretended items were in the UK not an actual UK seller! The ebay ID is still active but the seller is not currently listing anything.

Leave a big fat neg if you received a fake capacity flash memory item and haven’t already left feedback, or a follow up comment to warn others if you left positive feedback before finding out the truth.
