The128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drive in this ebay listing from sacrednight1 is certain to be a counterfeit and fake capacity flash drive that corrupts files – no one could sell a genuine one on ebay at this price even with the $28.00 for post and packing – it costs more than this to manufacture one of these!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

fjgyb seems to be reselling fake USB flash drive bought on ebay

leave a comment »

It seems that ebay seller fjgyb is buying up fake USB flash drives sold on ebay and re-selling them to other ebayers. This is the only explanation we can think of for fjgyb buying a fake 32GB USB flash drive from fraudulent seller chunwai2009 (ebay Item number 270560875901) on April 10th, which probably won’t arrive for another week, and another from 8cctv6 (260580159725) whilst selling this equally fake USB flash drive!

There seem to be quite a lot of ebay members in Europe and the Americas doing this – are these ebay members totally ignorant about the true cost of flash memory? Do they think that the Chinese are miracle workers who can make high cost techology on the cheap? Well they can’t!

Yes, labour in China is cheap but genuine flash memory chips aren’t!! The memory chips are the most costly part of any portable device that uses flash memory (such as USB flash drives, memory cards, MP players etc) – however cheap the labour the memory cost governs the price of genuine items.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

counterfeit 128GB Kingston flash drives sold on ebay by bahamut_land

leave a comment »

Seller bahamut_land obviously bought this counterfeit 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drive from one of the fraudulent wholesale outlets in China. This USB flash drive is fake capacity and corrupts files.

The seller claims to have tested but we think all bahamut_land was plug into the computer, look at the propertes and perhaps save a few small files. This does not constitute proper testing and is no basis for declaring that returns are not accepted.

Seller bahamut_land also sold a job lot of 25 of these on April 6th and that listing indicates the seller has a whole lot more of these fakes in stock. Had bahamut_land tested them properly with h2testw then it would have been clear that they do not work properly and that the real capacity is very small – probably less than 4GB. If you are one of the two buyers (so far – though there may be further victims if the seller puts up more listings) test your drive (or drives) immediately with h2testw!

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

UK ebayer dvdharrold reselling fake flash drive bought from funclubbing.09

leave a comment »

Seller dvdharrold bought this fake flash drive from Singapore fraudster funclubbing.09 for £38.07 on February 16th. The seller complains in the listing about having to relist it because of time-wasters not paying. Perhaps the so-called time-wasters had the good sense to realise this is a fake capacity flash drive that corrupts files.

This ebayer also bought fake 128GB flash drives from funclubbing.09 and woheng-haoo – so we expect these will be listed for sale too at a later date.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.

This 128GB Kingston DataTraveler 200 USB flash drive listed on ebay by ercan_72 is counterfeit, fake capacity and corrupts files. The seller bought this on ebay in February from seller fig351e, had ercan_72 tested it with h2testw when it arrived the truth would have been revealed and ercan_72 could have got a refund through paypal. Instead this ebayer hung onto it and is now selling it on.
