The ebay ID japan.best.flash is one we reported would be used for selling fake capacity flash drives almost a month ago when this seller prepared for a career in fake flash memory sales by exchanging fake feedback with other members of the singjapan gang. This USB flash drive (and any others from this seller) is fake capacity and corrupts files.

jhelme-2008 re-sells fake 128GB Kingston flash drive bought on ebay

with 2 comments

UK ebay seller jhelme-2008 says in this ebay listing (Item number: 270563008269):

This usb is in very good condition i open it from new packaging a week ago i dont use that much capacity usb i need a small capacity usb thats why i am selling this. This usb like new there is no packaging with it that,s why i write used.

Are we to beleive this?

This USB flash drive was purchased by the seller on ebay – it is a fake capacity flash drive sold by an ebay seller suspended for fraud. The ebay item number of the purchase made by jhelme-2008 was 110500037150. The listing was removed by ebay and no feedback was exchanged between jhelme-2008 and the suspended seller.

You would think that jhelme-2008 would have found this item vanishing from the won list just a tad suspicious, wouldn’t you?? Anyone who previously bought from fraudulent sellers is normally especially alert.

Since this was not the first time jhelme-2008 has purchased from a fraudulent seller – as far back as August 2008 we see that this ebayer bought from fraudulent seller davidtam000 (kicked off ebay some time ago for fake flash fraud) we have a suspicion that jhelme-2008 knows full well that this is a fake! See picture on right for our visual comment!

Seller jhelme-2008 says stuff about not needing such a high capacity drive in the listing as a justification for selling – so why buy a flash drive advertised at this capacity in the first place then?? We think this seller just wrote any old cr4p that might help sell this fake at a profit!

128GB flash drives from ebayer racer64glenn bound to be fake

leave a comment »

Isn’t the picture of the (not) 128GB USB flash drives listed on ebay Australia beautiful?? We are full of admiration for this ebayer’s skill in using photoshop or whatever program was used to produce this lovely picture.

It is just a shame that the seller didn’t take the time to test these flash drives with h2testw before spending time creating the image and listing these fakes (presumably bought from a fraudulent supplier in China) to see if they really did have a capacity of 128GB.

Had racer64glenn tested one as soon as they arrived then this seller would have discovered that it was a fake capacity USB flash drive that corrupts files. This ebayer might have stood a chance of getting a refund from the fraudulent supplier and would not have put himself or herself at risk of an ebay suspension.

We advise everyone who buys flash memory items to test them with the free program h2testw irrespective of where they were purchased – otherwise you run the risk of data loss and corruption.
